Regulatory Change Director

My investment banking client is seeking a Regulatory Change Director.

As a key member of the compliance team, the successful candidate will have a deep understanding of financial regulations and a proven track record of managing regulatory change initiatives. They are looking for an investment banking compliance officer who deals with broader regulatory horizon scanning, assessment, interpretation

My client is hiring across the board and looking to strengthen their compliance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor developments in UK and European financial regulation, regulatory priorities, trends, and enforcement decisions.
  • Lead the bank’s response to regulatory changes, including the development of new policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Collaborate with business teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory issues to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulators and industry associations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a regulatory change management role, ideally within an investment bank.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK and European financial regulation.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and provide practical solutions to complex regulatory challenges.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A relevant university degree and professional qualifications in law, finance, or compliance.
