Senior Compliance Officer – Conduct Risk

Our client, a prominent specialty insurance group, seeks a Compliance Officer specializing in Conduct Risk. Bring your expertise to support insurance distribution, product governance, conduct risk, and complaints within our client’s Legal and Compliance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with European and Luxembourgish Insurance Distribution framework requirements.
  • Manage the Conduct Risk team, overseeing annual reviews of Product Risk Assessments.
  • Maintain and update policies, procedures, and processes related to the Product Governance & Distribution Framework.
  • Investigate and respond to complaints promptly.
  • Collaborate with international teams to address compliance queries and monitor regulatory changes.
  • Contribute to the implementation of compliance-related objectives within our client’s Legal & Compliance Plan.
  • Provide guidance and training on compliance with regulatory rules and codes of practice.

Performance Objectives:

  • Enhance Management Information provided to the Product Governance & Distribution Committee.
  • Conduct a mapping of conduct risk-related obligations applicable to our client’s operating jurisdictions.
  • Progress and complete objectives defined within our client’s Compliance Plan.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of the European and Luxembourgish Insurance Distribution framework, including Conduct Risk.
  • Problem-solving skills with a risk-based methodology.
  • Strong analytical and prioritization skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and effective communicator.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office.
  • Language skills: English.

Desirable:

  • Additional language skills: French, German, Spanish, or Italian.
  • Previous experience in a legal or compliance role within the insurance industry or financial institutions.
