Operational Risk Manager

An Exciting opportunity to work for an international organization during a time of expansion;  Seeking a Risk Specialist in the First Line of Defense (1LOD). The role involves implementing a new Risk Management Framework developed by an external consultant and ensuring its ongoing management. As the subject matter expert, you’ll collaborate with the Second Line of Defense (2LOD) risk team to ensure effective framework implementation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you’ll also work under the 2LOD Risk Team’s supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various business areas to identify, document, and manage risks and controls.
• Develop and refine policies and procedures for clarity and practicality.
• Track Key Risk and Control Indicators (KRI’s).
• Investigate and analyze operating events, advocating for process changes and tracking agreed actions.
• Manage Risk Controls Self Assessments workshops.
• Assist in evolving the Risk Management Framework.
• You’ll support the Risk and Compliance Committee (RCCo), prepare meeting materials, and provide Management Information (MI) for risk reporting. Maintaining logs of risks, control issues, and actions is essential, as is providing risk and control support, expertise, advice, and training.

Requirements include:

• Operational Risk Management qualification,
• 1LOD experience, and
• skills in communication, analysis, and problem-solving.
• Industry experience in Asset Management
