Role Description

  • Manage the Operational Risk Compliance program across FRES and FCS.
  • Identify current and emerging risk issues.
  • Coordinate resolution of key risk issues and develop policies and controls.
  • Manage ad-hoc and regular risk reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring tasks to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Risk & Control Assessment framework.
  • Support operational risk register and RCSA processes.
  • Manage operational risk issue management and event management.
  • Conduct internal operational risk loss reporting.
  • Deliver enterprise and operational risk training.
  • Produce regular reporting to Risk committees.
  • Analyze and report operational risk MI.
  • Maintain the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF).
  • Provide support and guidance to the Business on all aspects of the ORMF.
  • Support stakeholders regarding risk identification and analysis.
  • Provide Second Line review on opening and closing of material issues.
  • Conduct thematic deep-dive quality assurance.

Ideal Candidate Profile: Knowledge / Experience:

  • Strong understanding and experience in Operational Risk management.
  • Detailed knowledge of Payments and/or Risk related professional qualification.
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data and interpret meaningfully.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and make decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess Risk trends.
  • Experience in Wholesale and Retail Banknote market or Global Markets foreign exchange environment.
  • Understanding of Risk & Controls in banknote dealing and processing activity.

Qualifications/Education/Training required:

  • Educated to A level standard.
  • 4+ years’ experience of operational risk in a second line of defence capacity.
  • GRC Implementation experience.
  • Experience within financial services or Fintech.
  • Experience in changing and building and/or operating Risk Management Frameworks.
  • Ability to interface with senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to produce Board and Executive level risk reports.
