Operational Risk Contractor (1LOD) – Asset Management – 6mths contract, £650pd Umbrella

We have an exciting 6-month day rate contract at a well know Asset Management firm in London. This is an urgent requirement for an Operational Risk Analyst to work within their Technology and Operational Risk team and assist in reporting and maintenance of the Risk and Control Framework.

This is a 6-month day rate contract, which is a back fill while they work on an internal IT project. Paying £600-£650 pd Umbrella rate with an immediate start date.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Performing risk assessments on business processes and define key controls to mitigate the risks identified.
  • Assist in key operational risk activities including Business Continuity management.
  • Deal with the coordination of incident mitigation and take responsibility for ensuring appropriate and clear documentation of incidents and associated actions in the Archer Operational Risk System.
  • Ensure appropriate risk mitigation measures and risk indicators are in place for risks identified and monitored.
  • Assist with the delivery of excellent and clear risk reports related to operational and technology risk matters to various boards and the Operating Committee.
  • Ensure actions raised on the back of incidents, internal/external audit and any other risk reviews across the group are tracked and completed.

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Similar 1st Line Ops risk experience in Asset Management or Hedge Fund business.
  • Experience with Business continuity.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills and have experience of working with senior stake holders (department heads and senior managers).
  • Experience using a Governance Risk and Control System (such as Archer).
