Our client is a Global Banking Leader in London who are looking for an experienced Quant Strategist to join a high performing team who are involved with developing cutting edge modelling and analytics solutions to respond to a fast paced commercial environment. The team is focused on increasing revenue, optimising use of capital, and responding to new business opportunities.

The role offers a good work/life balance and a salary range between £110k- £130k (negotiable) plus bonus and benefits.

As a Quant Strat you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial objectives while collaborating with various teams to optimize profitability metrics, drive innovation in pricing models, and lead the integration of cutting-edge technology solutions.

The projects you’ll be involved with will contribute directly towards the Financial Resource Management department’s financial objectives through partnering with the other financial resource management (FRM) pillars (capital management, funding and liquidity, pricing, model advisory), supporting functions (Risk, Treasury, Finance, WCDAO, Technology), and working directly with commercial business lines.

  • This is a newly created role to develop and assist with the modelling and tools for pricing purposes within Commercial Banking. Advantageous:- experience in building pricing models across all products and will suit an individual who has a good blend of quant development but also working with the business and product structure. Somebody who can hit the ground running and comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Python experience is preferred however somebody with outstanding SQL and able to pick up Python quickly will also be considered. (there will be a technical assessment during the interview process)
  • Tableau Dashboard is also a key requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dive deep into complex datasets to identify opportunities for optimizing profitability.
  • Provide strategic insight into model design and calibration for pricing.
  • Lead the development of capital-efficient products and tools to monitor performance.
  • Drive the adoption of quantitative tools in automated processes, keeping us ahead in technology-driven markets.
  • Collaborate with global teams to share best practices and enhance risk management techniques.
  • Ensure fair outcomes for customers and maintain market transparency.

Requirements:

  • Extensive banking experience with a focus on credit, rates, FX, or cash management markets.
  • A degree in mathematical finance, science or maths from a top tier university
  • CQF (Certificate of Quantitative Finance) qualification is highly desirable
  • Proven track record in model development and lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a background in mathematics.
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, C++, and a passion for technology.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
