Internal Auditor – Financial Services

My client is a large global asset and wealth manager with a relatively junior position in its central functions audit team. It seeks a bright auditor with either internal or external audit experience, or potentially even someone with Compliance or Risk experience looking to move into Internal Audit.  This person doesn’t even need a financial services background. This is seen as a trainee position where the person will be mentored and developed both on the subject matter and also in relation to risks and controls.

Central Functions covers areas like Finance, HR, Risk and Compliance, Legal, Financial Crime etc. which are many of the ‘hot topics’ permeating through all financial services organisations.  The ideal person will be good interpersonally, inquisitive, academically able and will be able to demonstrate these qualities at interview.

This client is very flexible on hybrid working so 4 days a month is the minimum requirement and while that is under constant review, the expectation is that certainly in the medium term it will remain far below the market average of 3 days a week. There is no or very little travel and the role is based in central London. The work life balance is excellent and training and development is core to the company’s ethos.
