My local government client is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join their organisation as a Principal Internal Auditor to work within the audit function consisting of 4 permanent staff, and additional co-source.
Reporting to an Audit Manager and Head of Internal Audit, the position will lead a number of risk based audit reviews right across the business, so experience within an internal audit position is a must, preferably across public sector or local government.
The ideal candidate will be from either a Top 20 practice firm or another local government employer, and would be actively working towards their IIA or ACCA qualification. There will be future opportunities to move within the business (outside of audit) for candidates who have the desire to do so, and likewise if you see your medium-long term future within audit, they are also able to facilitate this.
This is a low travel role and you must have at least two years’ UK experience to apply.
