This is a Global non-US investment bank with a focus on Capital Markets, i.e. secondary traded markets across all asset classes in London. There is a subsidiary element of Investment banking (M&A, ECM, DCM) and Corporate banking. London covers several European locations, but travel is minimal.

The successful candidate will have either a general background in Capital Markets or be a specialist in one asset class looking to leverage that experience to broaden their experience into other asset classes. He or she needs to be comfortable leading audits, reviewing the work done by others but also being “hands-on” too. Audit teams typically comprise of 2, sometimes 3 people. They like candidates who can think “on their feet” and demonstrate a good understanding of risks and controls.

There is hybrid working with three days expected in the office which is City based. The hiring Director who is responsible for this team and the Audit Plan wants someone who is a succession plan for her. There is no promise of when that succession will happen, but it is a clear added attraction to the role.
