Senior Data Engineer

Our Client, a leading company in the travel sector, are now looking to bring on board a Senior Data Engineer for their MarTech team. The team owns all Marketing data from end-to-end, including data ingestion, transformation, visualisation, and data architecture to ensure best-in-class operational reliability and modularity.

This role will implement modern, data pipelines for marketing data and the successful candidate will be managing data pipelines for accuracy, missing data, enhancements, changes, SLA, and billing volumes to ensure all data is captured and processed accurately and when needed.

You will also be working with cross-functional stakeholders in defining and documenting requirements for building high quality and impactful data products.

Competencies and Experience required

• Strong Data Engineering experience with a focus on building modern day data pipelines to both batch and real time data needs.
• Python, Java or Scala Experience.
• SQL – can write complex, performant, fail-safe queries.
• Experience with Restful APIs.
• CI/CD processes and platforms.
• Experienced with setting up end to end data pipelines
• Hands-on with Cloud computing technology like GCP or AWS
• Exposure to  visualisation / business intelligence platforms and tools.
• Experience in working with marketing data is a huge plus.
• Understanding of CDP/CRM tools, link tracking, pixels/tags, Google Analytics, and marketing attribution would also be great
