Application Security Engineer
FTSE listed financial services firm is seeking a Security Engineer to work with their team of developers on secure coding, to reconfigure existing AppSec tooling and to implement new security tooling into business processes. The role focuses on SAST, DAST, SCA and API scanning toolsets such as GitLab. The firm is currently undergoing an Agile transformation and there is plenty of exciting project work happening across the organisation with good opportunities for the future.
The role would suit someone with an application or product security background, or a software engineer who has been a security champion or who has undertaken security certifications and is keen to move into a dedicated security role.
The successful candidate will be able to script or code in Python (or similar), and any experience of GitLab would be beneficial.
The role can be offered as a remote contract.
Salary up to £60,000 base (potentially slightly higher) plus a good benefits package and bonus of up to 20%
