Ethics & Compliance Manager

My client is a leading consultancy firm who work with highly regulated firms in Financial Services, Oil and Gas and Pharmaceutical to maintain ethical business conduct and a strong compliance culture to prevent financial penalties and reputational damage that can be caused by lapses in ethical standards and regulatory breaches. A new role has arisen for an Ethics and Compliance professional to join the team.

The Ethics and Compliance team help navigate the risk and compliance landscape including regulation, bribery and corruption (the UK Bribery Act and FCPA), sanctions, and other anti-competitive and unethical behaviour.  The team carry out in-depth assessments to identify and assess risk, review the effectiveness of the anti bribery and corruption framework, help to mitigate threats and protect organisational reputation, review, assess, remediate and design compliance programmes to achieve Ethics and Compliance standards fit for purpose,  carry out Third party risk assessments, produce document reviews of existing policies and procedures and produce a gap analysis report and road map to implement changes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in highly regulated sectors such as financial services, pharmaceutical life sciences or oil and gas.

An understanding of Ethics and Compliance in a number of corporate compliance risk areas: bribery and corruption, fraud, modern slavery, completion law and ESG.

Experience of implementing an Ethics and Compliance framework

Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and gather clients’ requirements and build effective day to day working relationships.
