Compliance Manager

My client is like a private equity firm that works with SME’s providing Insurance brokerage services.

The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Risk and ultimately the Chief Governance Officer (who is the MLRO, SMF holder and DPO) on compliance matters primarily in relation to FCA compliance, GDPR and on compliance with anti-financial crime legislation. The role will also support the businesses wider risk management process.

In this role you will…

  • Keep up-to-date with the regulatory landscape
  • Continuously improve and provide oversight of AML processes
  • Manage the GDPR compliance process
  • Manage the SM&CR compliance process and FCA Regulatory Returns process
  • Automate processes and manage governance, risk and compliance systems
  • Help design and execute on the compliance monitoring programme
  • ESG & Company Secretarial

For this role you must have the following experience.

  • Has worked previously in Compliance and / or Risk Management functions and is looking to progress their career
  • Knowledge of GDPR and anti-financial crime legislative requirements
  • Ideally has previously worked in the financial services sector
  • Should demonstrate a good understanding of how projects are managed / participations skills.
  • Has a good understanding of how to run an established process such as the compliance monitoring process
  • An understanding and experience of governance principles and associated best practice.
  • Experience of working in a regulated (FCA) environment with a good understanding of the UK’s regulatory regime

Salary on offer here is a contract day rate. £500/day.

The role will be 3 months and there is a chance for the position to go permanent.

The role is based in London with flexible working allowed.
