Senior Compliance Manager

Take charge of overseeing the crucial Compliance policies and systems that affect the firm, ensuring that the Group’s exposure to Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime, and Fraud risks is managed in a manner that is practical, cost-effective, and mindful of commercial considerations.

Offer guidance and assistance to senior management, Compliance, and other colleagues on matters pertaining to Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime, and Fraud risks.

Assist the CCO Guernsey in the completion and presentation of Board Papers, EXCO Reports, Audit Committee Reports, Compliance Certificate, and any other required reports.

Ensure that senior management is duly informed of all significant Compliance-related issues.

Support the oversight and development of approach to managing Conduct Risk, collaborating with Risk Stewards to enhance awareness of Conduct Risk and integrate the Group’s approach to its management.

Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with the GFSC, as well as other regulatory bodies like the Joint Financial Crimes Unit and relevant Guernsey Authorities.

Clearly articulate the risks associated with Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime, and Fraud. Aid line management in conducting all business activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice, the Global Standards Manual, and the Compliance Section of the Global Risk FIM. Provide advisory services to ensure a comprehensive understanding of compliance risk exposure regarding clients, transactions, and products.

Promote a culture of compliance by actively collaborating with the business line, Business Risk and Control Management, and other compliance professionals to ensure adherence to best practices in line with relevant laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies.
