Security Engineer

This growing challenger bank is currently looking for a Security Engineer with good AWS experience to join their developing Security division.

The bank is going from strength to strength, launching new product lines and growing headcount across the organisation.  The Security team is relatively new and there is still some reliance on 3rd party support to provide services as the team matures.  A new role has now been created for a permanent hands on Security Engineer.

This is a varied role, responsible for the hands-on config of the bank’s product set.  The bank’s cloud platform is AWS and the role will involve writing Infrastructure as Code in AWS. Other responsibilities will include administering security controls, reviewing Terraform and Cloudformation code, and implementing and managing the bank’s security tooling.

The successful candidate must have hands on experience of writing IAC in AWS.  It’s vital that you have a good understanding of AWS services. Certifications are beneficial, but do not replace hands on AWS experience which is essential.  Financial services experience is not required so this is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to switch into the FS sector.

You will be required in the central London office once a week (at most, it may be less than this some months).

Base salary of £75k + 10% bonus + benefits. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available.
