Salesforce Platform Architect & Implementation Director

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, who will be responsible for shaping and leading the Salesforce.com strategy globally for a global commerce and industry client.

The ideal candidate will be a Salesforce architect who can lead strategy for Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud and Sales Cloud capabilities on the Salesforce platform and you will own the overall health, security and evolution of Salesforce platform(s) across the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a technical hands-on leader, who will be capable of establishing governance and applying best practice across the enterprise, whilst taking ownership of designing and delivering business capabilities and developing and managing vendors and partners.

As the Salesforce Platform Architect & Implementation Director you will need a high degree of maturity in working in a central team in a decentralised organization and you will be working closely with senior business leadership members and collaborate across multiple global Salesforce teams to define the road map for current and future uses of Salesforce across the organisation.

You will be the trusted advisor and subject matter expert, driving innovation to implement processes and approaches, creating value for our internal and external customers. A trusted
thought partner and leader who will help define and contribute towards the future Salesforce capability needs of the organisation.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director, you will provide thought, architecture, delivery, and operational leadership for all our lines of
businesses, partnering with the regional and business unit transformation leaders. Supporting global and regional IT leadership and teams to
define requirements and lead all activities relating to Salesforce.com.

Role requirement
• Partner with business leaders to understand strategic requirements and objectives to define the Salesforce roadmap, incorporating
innovation and competitive landscape inputs and preparing the organisation for growth
• Provide architectural and technical oversight of the Salesforce platform with focus on:
o Platform Architecture
o Application Design
o Data Volumes
o Integration Patterns
o Security Model
o License Management
• Establish and operate the governance processes and gate checks (ARB, Design reviews) to maintain and enhance the quality attributes of the platform across programs, teams, apps and vendors
• Oversee management of Salesforce vendors and partners, both ISV and SI, and ensure adequate development and support models are in place for Salesforce platforms
• Develop Salesforce Standards, Policies, Guidelines, Best Practices to drive the strategic evolution and maturity of the platform within the enterprise.
• Develop Salesforce frameworks in collaboration with business unit delivery teams and build a repository of reusable components and capabilities

Experience required
▪ Extensive proven experience working in solution/enterprise architecture role
▪ Clear and concise written, presentation, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
▪ Experience working in a matrixed organisation, across various departments with various levels of management, handling sensitive or
difficult situations as well as driving change management.
▪ Role requires travel and working with teams in different time zone
