Operational Risk Associate

  • £70,000 plus Bonus

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for an Operational Risk Associate to join a leading Financial Services organisation based in London. This organisation focuses primarily on providing liquidity, market access and infrastructure services to their clients across a range of asset classes. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working across Operational Risk within a Financial Services organisation and have a good understanding of Risk and Control Assessments and implementing Risk Frameworks.

The Job:

  • Work with business areas globally in the ongoing firm-wide build out of Risk Registers.
  • Design and implementation of an effective RCSA programme and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to an effective risk presence, promote risk discussions with Front Office and Senior Management, and build collaborative relationships across the business.
  • Monitoring and reporting of Risk Events and Operational Losses and completing Operational Risk Assessments.
  • Daily management of Business Incidents, completion of root cause analysis, and Operational Risk Assessments.
  • Ongoing development of the Operational Risk Management Framework and roll-out of individual components.
  • Maintaining and developing improvements to the Framework, Procedures, Policies, and Guidelines.
  • Provide support and guidance to embed a positive risk culture.

Your Experience:

  • Demonstrable background working within Operational Risk Management within a Financial Services organisation.
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulation and how it applies to internal operational processes and controls.
  • Strong team worker and able to take initiative to scope and lead enhancement work.
  • Ability to build constructive relationships internally and to influence at all levels.
