Enterprise Risk Manager – Maternity Cover 12 months/Perm

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Enterprise Risk Manager to join a Global team at a leading Clearing House based in London. The initial contract will be 12months maternity cover however they are looking to grow the team and will offer the role permanently for the right individual.

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week. Base salary £90k with an immediate start / short term notice period.

The Enterprise risk team (“ERM”) are responsible for administering the risk management framework, this includes the support, oversight, and challenge of the 1 st line in identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting on risk.

The role will report into the Risk Director, and support them in coordinating the delivery of the risk management programme.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the delivery of the risk framework (Risk Register, Risk Appetite Metrics, Management Thresholds, Risk and Controls Self-Assessment and Emerging Risks) across entities.
  • Contribute to risk identification on an ongoing basis, horizon scanning including maintaining industry awareness, best practice insights, regulatory and business developments.
  • Take a leadership role in the scoping and delivery of Deep Dive Assessments and Scenario exercises across the entities
  • Manage the preparation of risk papers and present across the various governance fora.
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the 3 lines within group.
  • Act as a sounding board for the business on risk related matters, whilst providing appropriate challenge to first line function
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of risk training across the organization.

Knowledge And Experience

  • Experience within Risk Management who has a background from another clearing house or exchange. They will also consider those from a brokerage / trading desk /capital markets in banking.
  • Experience and interest within financial markets.
  • Critical, creative thinker with an ability to see the bigger picture whilst working with detail.
  • Self-starter that’s able to work collaboratively as part of a team but also drive and organize delivery projects autonomously.
  • Bachelor’s degree

This will suit an ambitious individual who is capable of driving and delivering to tight deadlines. We’re looking for a Manager level who is happy to be very hands on
