Senior Internal Audit Manager

We are recruiting an excellent Senior Internal Audit Manager role within an established Manchester-based commercial business.

This is a new position within the refreshed function, providing excellent exposure to the whole business. The key responsibility is the delivery and oversight of a comprehensive, risk-based internal audit program.

Ultimately you will manage the small team, reporting into the recently appointed Head on Internal Audit, overseeing the annual audit planning process, develop scopes and testing programs, and play a pivotal role managing, and monitoring risks within the business.

This role goes beyond pure internal audit, providing exposure to wider governance (risk etc), and you will regularly liaise with Execs and Boards. You will provide updates to the Audit Committee, building and maintaining stakeholder relationships across the organisation.

This is a very visible role, and you will be tasked with a variety of interesting projects throughout the year, where you can really add value, and get recognition from the most senior members of the company.

To be considered you must have upwards of five years’ internal audit or risk experience, gained within a UK commercial (non-financial services) organisation, ideally holding a recognised and relevant audit qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIA).

There is a preference for candidates to have previous managerial or supervisory exposure, however if you can demonstrate extensive subject knowledge, alongside a passion for personal development, then my client would be interested in having an initial discussion.
