Recovery & Resolution Manager

  • £70,000 - £80,000 Base

The candidate will strengthen the Recovery & Resolution Planning Team in the Risk Management Division and report to the Recovery & Resolution Team lead. The team is responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of annual Recovery and Orderly wind-down Plans and assist the resolution authorities in the delivery and maintenance of their resolution strategy while meeting regulatory requirements of all jurisdictions where the company operates.

 

Role

  • Providing expert advice to Risk Management and the business on recovery and resolution planning topics (RRP)
  • Demonstrating end-to-end thinking and ownership
  • Contributing ideas to the continued evolution and maturing of the work across the group
  • Exposure to senior management to help to deliver the key messages and strategic direction.
  • Driving collaboration with business stakeholders and other contributors to the plans to ensure that the plans are fit for purpose and meet regulatory and Management requirements and expectations.
  • Contributing to inter-divisional initiatives that should strengthen the recoverability and resolvability of the firm.
  • Helping to ensure close alignment and integration of recovery and resolution planning topics with other RM activities and files.
  • Represent the recovery and resolution team on other topics and at industry forums.

Technical skills

  • Good understanding of Prudential Risk Management, specifically, RRP, ICAAP or ILAAP
  • Understanding of risk management concepts
  • A basic understanding of the financial industry at large
  • Excellent Excel skills with the ability to use pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders.

Soft skills

  • Ability to articulate yourself clearly in oral and written communications.
  • Ability to interpret SME inputs and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Eager to learn and curious.
  • Very good team spirit.
  • Self-reflective, with a focus on continuous improvement.
