Audit Manager – Banking and Investments, Central Functions

  • London
  • £65,000 - £85,000 per year

An international financial services organisation is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join its London-based team, with responsibility for auditing a broad range of central and corporate functions across its portfolio of businesses which includes corporate and investment banking as well as asset and wealth management.

The position offers varied and interesting audit coverage, including areas such as Finance, Treasury, Human Resources, Risk Management and Compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, assessing governance arrangements, key risks and the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.

Responsibilities will include planning and delivering risk-based audits, undertaking detailed control testing, identifying weaknesses and developing practical recommendations. The role also involves preparing audit reports, presenting findings to management and following up on agreed actions to ensure appropriate remediation.

The department is particularly interested in developing its use of data analytics, automation and artificial intelligence, and candidates who can demonstrate experience or enthusiasm in these areas will be well regarded.

Applicants should have relevant Internal Audit experience gained within banking, financial services or a professional services firm, ideally including exposure to one or more central functions such as Finance, Treasury, HR, Risk or Compliance.

Candidates should be capable of managing audits independently, with strong analytical, communication, report-writing and stakeholder management skills. A relevant professional qualification would be advantageous.

This is an attractive opportunity to join an established international financial services organisation, offering varied responsibilities, exposure to senior management and the opportunity to develop a broad range of audit expertise.
