Software Engineering Manager | Banking | 2 days per week required in Bristol | up to £110k + 15% bonus + other benefits

A large bank (one of the “big four”) are looking for a Software Engineering Manager with ideally a Java background (but Golang or Python are fine to!) to join their team. As the Software Engineering Manager, you will be joining a team who which is pivotal for their continue growth. The team is responsible for all communication, data and analytics to their customers and consumers where you will be the driving force for this growth.

The Software Engineering Manager should bring as much experience with the following:

• Should bring prior experience of leading engineering teams through line management, mentoring of devs and coaching
• Have a background with Java (Spring, Spring Boot, Web services) ideally however experience with Golang and Python is fine also
• As they have moving everything/ as much as they can to the cloud, it is vital you can bring as much experience with modern clouds like AWS, GCP or Azure. This can include cloud development, building highly scalable, available and resilient applications with hands on experience
