Principal Platform Engineer | MedTech | £110k + 10% bonus + fully company benefits | Fully remote, can be based anywhere in the UK |

A global medical company are looking for a Principal Platform Engineer to join their talented team based out of London. As a Principal Platform Engineer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the ongoing scalability, performance, and reliability of our platform. They are searching for a highly skilled and passionate individual who can effectively lead their platform engineering team and manage the delivery roadmap for these innovative projects.

As the Principal Platform Engineer, you should bring experience with as much of the below:

  • Cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP) – Designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable platforms
  • Programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, or Go
  • Modern cloud/ DevOps tooling such as: Jenkins, Gitlab or CircleCI for CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and Chef

Although not necessary, if you can bring experience with the following it will be beneficial:

  • Previous Experience of mentoring/ leading a growing team
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
