Operational Risk Analyst

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Operational Risk Analyst to join a leading and well-known Commodities organisation based in London. The successful candidate will join this business to support and promote the Operational Risk Management Framework.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Operational Risk in implementing the Operational Risk Management framework.
• Produce key MI and metrics on RCSA’s, Loss Event Data and Incident Management.
• Support the facilitation of Top Risk reviews and Stress/Scenario testing.
• Work with the business to produce remediation plans for gaps identified from benchmarking of external loss events to internal processes.
• Help the business in developing industry standard minimum standards, policies, and procedures to mitigate operational risk.
• Advise the business on target state optimised processes and controls opportunities, identified policy and procedure gaps.
• Help the business in developing and reviewing the RCSA’s, carrying out detailed walkthroughs and process mapping to identify significant risks and controls.
• Identify and establish key risk and control indicators.
• Assess process and control design, risks, and drive actions to address the root causes that lead to operational risk losses.

Your Experience:

• Experienced in Operational Risk or Enterprise Risk Management within Financial Services.
• Strong technical knowledge across the front and back functions of a trading desk.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills for all levels of staff and the ability to influence senior management.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
