Head of Risk Oversight Corporate Banking

Our client is one of the largest countries in Europe CMB and want to grow to become France’s Leading International Corporate and Sustainable Finance Bank. The Head of Risk Oversight is of strategic importance, being responsible for all supervision of the financial and non-financial risks (‘NFR’) of Corporate Banking France.

Principal Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Contribute to strategic projects intended to deliver the strategy of CMB France
• Drive and embed a pro-active credit and NFR risk management culture in Corporate Banking;
• Manage the risks of the Corporate Banking France portfolio
• Ensure compliance with all related policies and guidelines
• Lead the team to manage relationships under LMU Credit & Negotiation
• Lead the Credit Support Unit team (c. 15 persons)
• Represent France Corporate Banking in RRCSC and other relevant risk forums
• Act as owner of Corporate Permanent Controls (CMA), SOX controls, CAC HBCE controls and France Corporate BCP

Conditions Requirements:

• Confirmed risk & regulatory experience;
• Leadership skills; effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Highly-motivated, diligent, collaborative, personable individual with autonomy and decision-making capacity; capacity to work in project and remediation mode with the group’s support teams;
• The role holder is expected to uphold the client values, display courageous integrity, value diversity, inclusivity and promote a “speak-up” culture;
• Fluent in English
