Head of Internal Audit

We are working closely with a global financial services organisation looking to build an internal audit function. They are looking to appoint a dynamic Head of Internal Audit to be based out of their Dublin office.

As part of this role you will have full ownership of the function, determine the internal audits scope and develop the annual plan.

This role is a very important one for the company with it being the first in-house internal audit function member, and has the full backing of the Board. This role will certainly transition into a PCF position, and will play a fundamental role in shaping a high performing third line of defence department.

To be considered you must hold a relevant qualification, have considerable internal audit experience (7+ years), and have excellent C-level exposure along with the relevant stakeholder skills.

Due to the fast-paced environment, there is a strong preference for candidates to have worked in smaller and evolving companies, as opposed to large financial institutions. There is an entrepreneurial culture across the organisation, which allows change, dynamism and an agile environment.

This role is Dublin based, so you will ideally be located close by, however there will be an opportunity to build out the team(s) either in the US or London in the next 12 months.
