Group Internal Auditor (SOx)

Barclay Simpson have been engaged by a very well known and respected employer in the West Midlands who are going through an exciting time of change. Following a recent purchase of the business, they are going through a large global SOx implementation which requires significant input from their well-established Internal Audit function.

Reporting into the Internal Audit Manager, you will play a very active role in the ongoing SOx implementation programme as well as delivering other aspects of the Annual Audit Plan. Primarily, you will perform testing of design, operating effectiveness and implementation of SOx controls over financial reporting and business process controls using their GRC tool (AuditBoard). You will be actively involved in the remediation of control deficiencies, agreeing action plans with control owners and designing new controls as required.

You will hold a relevant qualification (ACA/ACCA), preferably from a Big 4/Top 10 accountancy firm, and have exposure to SOx/Internal Controls testing. Candidates looking to make their first move from Big 4/Top 10 practice are very welcome to apply. You will be required to go into the West Midlands office 1-2 days/week. There will be minimal and rare travel required. Full eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship is essential.

The salary package on offer is £50,000 + £5,500 car allowance + bonus (up to 15%) + benefits.
