Credit Risk Analyst

My client is a major integrated energy and chemical company, who seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Crude and Shipping Credit Analyst. The Role: Credit Risk Analyst – Crude and Shipping
In this role, you will be responsible for performing daily credit risk management tasks and developing a thorough understanding of risks associated with crude and shipping trading. As a Crude and Shipping Credit Analyst, you will work under the supervision of the Credit Risk Manager to perform credit risk management functions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing compliance checks on all existing and prospective counterparties
- Conduct ad hoc and periodic counterparty assessments
- Work with internal stakeholders on credit related issues
- Prepare credit applications for local and HQ signoff
- Enhance internal process and procedures in consultation with relevant departments
- Monitor counterparty exposure and control credit status of approved counterparty
- Manage credit collateral
- Recommend changes in credit limits/approval status for senior management approval
Experience & Skills:
- 3 – 5 years in a trading environment, with exposure to trading of crude oil, LNG and shipping
- Experienced understanding of counterparty credit risk
- Working knowledge of risk analysis and mitigation methodology
- Strong Microsoft office and excel skills
