An opportunity has arisen to join a well-regarded investment platform in London as a Compliance Manager within a lean and highly collaborative team.
This is a broad generalist compliance role supporting the business across a range of regulatory and day-to-day activities. The role will report into the US-based Chief Compliance Officer in New York while working closely with the London leadership team, including the firm’s COO, a former lawyer who remains heavily involved in governance and regulatory matters.
The environment is small, commercial and mature, and the compliance function is embedded within the wider business rather than operating as a separate control silo.
This is a hands-on position offering exposure across the full compliance spectrum. Responsibilities will include supporting the business on regulatory matters, monitoring activities, assisting with policies and procedures, regulatory interactions, and day-to-day compliance queries from the investment team.
Given the size of the platform, the role requires someone comfortable operating across both strategic and operational areas. While there is meaningful exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to broader compliance discussions, the position will also involve the practical aspects of running a well-functioning compliance programme.
They’re looking for a minimum of 4 years of compliance experience within an investment manager and you must have exposure to private markets funds.
The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable working with a degree of independence and taking ownership of tasks without the need for constant supervision. There will, however, be plenty of support from the US CCO and the London based COO.
This opportunity is particularly well suited to someone who wants broad exposure and responsibility within a smaller platform, rather than a narrowly defined role within a large institution.
The role will offer:
Broad generalist compliance exposure across a growing investment platform
Close interaction with senior stakeholders including the COO and US-based CCO
Lean team structure offering real ownership and visibility
Commercial environment where compliance works closely with the business
