Private Funds Legal Counsel

My client is the private banking arm of a well known financial services group. They are looking for an experienced funds lawyer to join and take the lead on all funds related work. They are about to launch a series of private funds and anyone with experience of this would be advantageous.

This will be a really business facing role and will play a crucial role in the business so visibility across the firm will be excellent. You will have the opportunity to lead on a number of areas and work with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

This will suit a lawyer with at least 2 or 3 years PQE but more experience would be welcomed. You will ideally have exposure to investment funds. While private funds would be ideal a background in public funds/UCITs would still be interesting to them. You could either be looking for your first move in house or be working for another similar company now and looking for a new challenge.

You’ll work with a great legal team who are really supportive and friendly. The business can offer reasonable flexibility and really outstanding work. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for the right person and one you won’t see too many times in the market.

Candidates will need to be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and be qualified in a common law jurisdiction.
