Legal Counsel

Barclay Simpson is pleased to be supporting our client who are a boutique investment manager focusing on emerging markets equities, to find a new lawyer to join their team.

This role would work closely with the GC and Compliance officer in providing legal services and advice to the wider business.

They are looking at someone ideally in the NQ to 4 years PQE bracket with a corporate/funds background. They are happy to look at people from either private practice or currently in house.

The role will suit someone who wants to work in a fast paced environment with a varied workload. Because of the set up of the team and businesses there will be the opportunity for someone to develop fast and progress into a potentially bigger role which you don’t see very often in this type of role.

They will provide plenty of support but whoever joins will need to be able demonstrate the ability to take ownership of work and projects and deliver without constant supervision. They need someone who enjoys working wit the business and can provide sound, commercial legal advice.
