Senior Legal Counsel

My client is a global insurer focused on all areas of corporate and commercial insurance and looking for a Senior Lawyer to join their team. The company supports every type of business imaginable and is a very well known brand in the market.

They are looking for someone with extensive insurance experience who is German qualified and with experience of that market. They are happy to help people relocate back to Germany if they’re not currently based there but both jurisdictional expertise and language skills are a must.

The role will work closely with the Head of department to provide legal support, guidance and advice to the group all areas of insurance and reinsurance law. This will involve dealing with multiple different contract types as well as ensuring the company is adhering to the regulatory framework. The team is well established and embedded with the business and they have an excellent panel of external law firms to utilise where needed. This role would play a key role in coordinating their work and instructing them where needed.

They need an experienced German Lawyer (Volljurist) with expert knowledge of the insurance industry who can play a key part in advising the business and providing wider legal services.
