Enterprise Risk Analyst, 6 months day rate contract, ~£400pd.

We are working with a well-known bank who have an exciting opportunity in their London office, for a talented Risk Analyst to join their Enterprise Risk Management team on an initial 6-months contract.

This is a day rate contract offered at £350-£400 per day Umbrella/PAYE with the possibility of extension or going permanent after the initial 6 months. 2 days in the office / 3 at home.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and contribute significantly to the achievement of ERM and the Group Risk’s agenda. Due to the nature of the activities of the Risk Reporting and Governance team in ERM – there is a mixture of recurring activities, new initiatives and increasing regulatory demands.

We’re looking for a strong candidate who has an interest in a challenging and rewarding career through assisting the Team in executing on its key responsibilities which include:

  • Risk reporting to senior Executive, Board committees and external regulators;
  • Maintaining and developing the banks overall risk management and control architecture; including Risk frameworks and policies;
  • Providing Risk oversight of key wider projects such as Recovery & Resolution planning;
  • Providing risk oversight of key subsidiaries, joint ventures and foreign branches;
  • Leading and collating the risk view for ad-hoc projects; and,
  • Maintaining the Risk Management Framework for the Group.

You will need to show us that you have:

  • Experience in financial services (3 years), ideally but not necessarily in a Bank Risk function;
  • An understanding of the banking business model and how it link to the broader economic and regulatory environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (underpinned by strong Microsoft Office skills).
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a small team, with attention to detail, completing tasks to a high standard within agreed deadlines.
