Head of Risk

Our client is a well-respected Fintech platform with a focus on providing accessibility to digital asset to the retail market. The company have a strong presence in Amsterdam and they are seeking a Head of Risk to lead their established financial and non-financial risk teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing the Risk Control Framework including enterprise risk, business continuity, cyber security and IT risk management (SLoD)
  • Define the risk strategy for the organisation
  • Monitor and review processes to identify operational risks, provide control measures to avoid or mitigate such risks including policy development, review and implementation
  • Present reports of all risk matters to the Board and to External authorities where required
  • Maintain a pro-active view on all regulatory changes and new policies, ensuring adherence and lead on change projects where appropriate.
  • Take the lead role in the implementation of DORA
  • Lead the risk team comprising of Operational, Financial and IT risk specialists

Experience required:

  • Significant experience of risk management gained within financial services
  • Demonstrable expertise in non-financial risk management is essential, working knowledge of financial risk or leading a multi-disciplinary risk function is preferred
  • Knowledge of digital assets trading is preferred
