Internal Audit Manager

  • London
  • £55,000 - £65,000 per year

A leading international investment management organisation is looking to recruit an Internal Audit Manager to join its London-based Internal Audit function.

The position offers the opportunity to undertake a broad range of audits across investment management activities, providing exposure to investment products, including front office and portfolio management as well as investment operations, associated risks and internal controls. The successful candidate will join an established audit team and work closely with experienced colleagues and stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities will include helping to deliver risk-based audits across the audit cycle, from planning and scoping through to fieldwork, reporting and follow-up. The department is particularly interested in increasing its use of data analytics, automation and artificial intelligence to enhance audit coverage and efficiency. Candidates with experience in these areas, or a genuine interest in developing their application within Internal Audit, will be particularly attractive.

Applicants should have relevant Internal Audit experience gained within asset management, investment management, banking or a professional services firm. Relevant asset management experience would be beneficial but the focus is more on the individual’s potential rather than prior investments knowledge.

Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills are important, as is the ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of individual responsibilities. Relevant professional qualifications, or progress towards them, would be beneficial.

This is a hands-on audit delivery role rather than a people management position, offering varied investment-related audit coverage and opportunities for professional development within a substantial international financial services organisation.
