Compliance Audit Programme Manager

Location: Buckinghamshire – Hybrid (2 days office / 3 days home)
Salary: £40,000–£50,000
Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract

We are supporting a well-established Motoring organisation looking to appoint an Audit Programme Manager on an initial six-month fixed-term contract.

This is a hands-on operational role with responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of an established audit programme, working closely with an outsourced audit provider and the organisation’s members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of the existing audit programme.
  • Monitor the outsourced audit provider against agreed schedules, volumes and deliverables.
  • Review audit outputs and communicate findings and required actions to members.
  • Manage member queries and follow-up actions, including sensitive conversations where audits identify areas of concern.
  • Maintain programme trackers, spreadsheets, records and associated administration.
  • Support relevant committee meetings, including coordination, attendance, minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Liaise with members, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure the programme runs effectively.

The Person

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience working within an audit, assurance, compliance or operational review programme.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A genuinely hands-on approach and willingness to get into the detail.
  • Confidence managing spreadsheets, trackers, meetings and programme administration.
  • The ability to work autonomously and get up to speed quickly.
  • Automotive or vehicle-sector experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Availability to start immediately or at short notice would be highly advantageous.

This would suit an experienced Audit Manager, Audit Programme Manager, Assurance Manager or Compliance/Audit professional looking for a hands-on interim assignment.
