Role Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a risk professional to step into a broad and varied role with both strategic and operational influence. Reporting to the General Counsel, the Risk Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of the enterprise risk management framework, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and global group guidelines.

The role offers the opportunity to work across a wide spectrum of risk areas—including operational, compliance, strategic, and credit risk—while engaging with senior stakeholders across multiple business units and group entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the enterprise risk framework, ensuring alignment with business strategy and stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead the development and monitoring of the company’s risk appetite and key risk indicators.
  • Ensure risk policies and procedures are up-to-date and meet both internal and external standards.
  • Facilitate the identification and assessment of emerging and existing risks across products and services.
  • Manage the enterprise risk register and support the escalation and remediation of material risks.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions to promote a risk-aware culture throughout the organisation.
  • Support regulatory compliance efforts and contribute to compliance monitoring activities.
  • Lead the periodic Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process.
  • Coordinate and chair the internal risk committee, including follow-up on actions and escalation.
  • Oversee outsourced risk services and ensure alignment with internal standards.
  • Provide input into the development of credit risk models and scorecards.
  • Support internal and external audit processes related to risk and compliance.
  • Maintain oversight of the corporate insurance portfolio.
  • Monitor and respond to risk reporting requirements from the wider group and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist with governance processes, including delegation frameworks and internal approvals.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Strong background in enterprise or operational risk within a financial services, leasing, or regulated environment.
  • Solid understanding of risk frameworks and the three lines of defence model.
  • Experience of influencing senior stakeholders and engaging in committee-level discussions.
  • Proven ability to lead risk processes, from assessment through to reporting and monitoring.
  • High degree of analytical skill and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of the mobility or vehicle leasing sector is advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiarity with credit risk modelling or scorecard development is a plus.
