Security Consulting Manager

Global insurance firm seeks a cyber security consulting manager for a highly visible, newly created role in their technical internal security consultancy team.  In this role, you will manage the team directly (c10 technical security consultants, including 2 leads).  The team is responsible for integrating cyber controls into a large portfolio of change projects in a hybrid cloud environment. The team applies their technical security skill sets to meet cyber outcomes.

As Manager of this team, you won’t be delivering into projects yourself, but instead your role will be to manage the workload, working closely with stakeholders (CIOs, Heads of Technology etc) to ensure smooth delivery of projects, managing any escalations, improving processes and strategically preparing the team for ‘what’s coming’ (e.g the impact of AI).

This is a senior position in the firm which will require someone who has strong technical security skills (e.g. security engineering, DevSecOps, application security, cloud security), as well as best-in-class communication and stakeholder management skills. You must have previously managed a team.

The role is offered as hybrid with 1-2 days in the central London office.

Salary guide c£130,000 base + excellent benefits and bonus, although this negotiable for an exceptional candidate.
