Senior Software Engineer

Our client a large multinational aerospace company are seeking Senior Software Engineers to Join their growing team based in Yeovil.

This role will be primarily responsible for the analysis, design and delivery of solutions to meet programme, business and customer requirements, applying engineering expertise to solve complex engineering problems and leading, inspiring and developing engineering teams.

This role will be using the latest technologies and the team are constantly looking to see how they can be applied to complex problems, such as COTS and specialist hardware, software, security and networking technologies.

Essential skills required:

• Strong C++ and Java experience
• Linux or Windows development experience
• Leading the technical solution through the whole lifecycle from concept to in-service
• Providing technical leadership of engineering teams
• Understanding customer requirements (both in terms of technology need and operational context)
• Building relationships with customers and partners
• Leading the design and engineering aspects of winning bids
• Promoting the development and evolution of innovative ideas to provide new products and solutions

The role is based in Yeovil, you must be happy to come onsite at least 3 times per week.
