Senior Legal Counsel – DCM

Our client is a leading financial services organization looking to onboard an experienced capital markets lawyer into their tight knit In-House legal team.

Reporting into the Head of Capital Markets legal you will be looking at a wide range of matters on a multi jurisdictional level (mainly African, Americas, European and Middle Eastern regions) with an emphasis on emerging markets.

In terms of the day to day you will be advising the DCM business teams in order to ensure best execution of deals.

In addition to this you will be also looking at a mixture of standalone bond issues; establishments, updates and draw-downs of MTN programmes; Islamic Finance and general regulatory work as it pertains to capital markets.

In addition to pure DCM work the team also looks at a substantial amount of securitization work – candidates who have covered mostly securitization with a bit of DCM will also be considered.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a lawyer with at least 5 years’ PQE specifically in capital markets legal work (ideally with an emerging markets focus) coming from a leading law firm or In-House legal team.
