Senior Markets Attorney

My client is a large, global banking group seeking a senior Attorney to join their markets legal team in New York.. This will be the second senior lawyer supporting the credit and securitised products business lines and will be the go to lawyer for the deal teams in this space for a number of projects.

The role doesn’t carry management responsibility but hiring at this level means they want someone who sees themselves as a leader and wants to be part of a wider markets legal team. They’re well established in this space and you’ll get the chance to work on really exciting stuff.

They are happy to look at someone coming out of another banking legal team in this space or direct out of private practice. They want someone with strong exposure to Securities, Credit derivatives and REPO’s ideally. The head of the department wants people who can balance providing thoughtful, commercial advice with a collegiate approach and working closely with the wider legal team.

This is a senior hire where they want someone to be able to hit the ground running from day one. There’s always support internally and externally and the team are a really great bunch.
