You’ll work within the Records Management Programme to:

  • Lead the rollout of records management functionality in SharePoint
  • Assess tools (existing and new) to find where out-of-retention digital records are stored
  • Explore methods for deleting out-of-retention digital records

You’ll work closely with Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Records Management teams to design, configure, and launch a compliant, efficient solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as SME for best practice implementation of records management in SharePoint
  • Lead discovery and deletion work for out-of-retention digital records
  • Review business requirements for SharePoint functionality and scanning tools
  • Serve as key link between Records Management and Technology teams

Skills & Experience:

  • Deep knowledge of metadata, content types, retention labels, and taxonomy
  • Experience designing document workflows and lifecycles
  • Hands-on work with SharePoint and Microsoft Purview (ex-Microsoft 365 Compliance Centre)
  • Familiarity with AI-driven scanning tools
  • Proven delivery of records management capabilities in technical systems
  • Understanding of retention schedules and translation into system requirements
  • Knowledge of RM standards and governance frameworks (e.g. ISO 15489)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Background in Information Governance or Records & Information Management
  • Excellent IT and communication skills
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving ability
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Trusted to handle sensitive data with discretion

A professional records management qualification is a plus.
