Risk Manager – Real Assets (Agri/Forestry) £800 per day, 6 mths

A an unbelievable opportunity to make your mark at an ambitious and newly formed Asset Management firm that focuses on natural capital.

This is a day rate contract 3-6 months starting in January 2024. The rate is somewhat negotiable and in the range of £650-£800 per day (Inside IR35).

Working directly with the CRO and supporting on rolling out the Operational Risk Framework. This will suit a Risk Manager / Ops Risk SME who’ll have the required experience to perform the risk assessments, which will be Real Assets focused – Nature based forestry and agriculture; which is one of the main tasks at hand.

Main responsibilities / Skills required:

1. ESG Fund Back ground. Must have relevant experience with Real Assets – Natural Capital. Ideally forestry, agriculture (land) or carbon.
2. Experience in building risk frameworks and confident with risk methodologies across and around the risk assessments; and able to create a risk register.
3. Excellent communication skills to liaise with the investment teams and projects partners; making sure the regulatory process is in place.
4. Develop risk appetite and go through each risk – 100 or more; and get them assessed.
5. Look at the probability and risk exposure relative to the risk.
6. Understanding the risk exposure and report the action plan to the risk committee.
