Legal Counsel

My client is a well known investment management firm and they are looking for a lawyer to join a small team that supports the entire business. This role is being hired to backfill the role of the person it will report up into as they have recently been promoted. While this role won’t directly manage anyone it will be well positioned to take on more responsibility over time as a result.

This team supports the entire group as mentioned and has a very wide remit. It is the first point of contact for all commercial contracts (not doing the day but more escalations, supplier queries, templates etc.) as well as supporting the treasury side of the business. They also provide support on data protection rule changes and IP work alongside a bit of broader corporate and commercial work as well.

It’s quite rare to have such a wide remit in a larger organisation which should keep the work fresh and interesting.

They are seeking someone either from private practice or in house with either a commercial or finance background. Exposure to financial services would be preferred and people will need to be able to demonstrate both an aptitude and willingness to cover a wide and varied workload.
