Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk to join a well-known leading Bank based in London. The successful candidate will sit within the Bank’s 2LOD and will be responsible for the development, implementation and embedding of Enterprise Risk Management across the Bank. You will have an excellent understanding of Risk Governance, Risk Appetite, and Policy lifecycle management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of the Risk Governance Framework, standards and identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of group level risk appetite statement.
  • Assist the CRO with the overall risk management of the Bank, with a focus on developing advanced risk approaches to enhance the businesses’ efficiency and effectiveness in managing their risk.
  • Provide oversight review of internal policies and procedures, and ensure they are current, consistent, and fit for purpose.
  • Contributing, promoting, and monitoring continuous improvement in Risk Culture across the Bank.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain the risk framework and associated documentation.
  • Review and challenge all metrics and qualitative assessments, whilst enhancing the risk management framework.
  • Lead the Policy Framework by establishing an inventory of the existing policies.
  • Coordinate the setting and operationalisation of the risk appetite.
  • Ongoing monitoring of the Banks risk profile against risk appetite.
  • Develop the risk management regulations gap report through discussions with functional teams across the Group.

Your Experience:

  • An excellent understanding of Operational Risk Management or Enterprise Risk Management within a Financial Services organisation or a Bank.
  • A strong working understanding of Risk Governance, writing Policies and Procedures, and Risk Appetite.
  • Positive and “can-do” attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative and be able to prioritise work.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to thrive working under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
