Senior Operational Risk Manager – VP

This is one of the largest and most prominent banks in Asia. This Bank provides a wide range of banking and financial services, including retail banking, corporate banking, investment banking, asset management, and more. The bank has a significant presence not only in Asia but also internationally, with branches and offices around the world.

Job Summary:

As the Vice President, Operational Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing operational risk across the organization. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust operational risk management frameworks and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of operational risks inherent in business processes, systems, and activities.
  2. Policy Development: Develop and enhance operational risk policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  3. Monitoring and Reporting: Implement a comprehensive risk monitoring system and generate regular reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with business units to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks associated with new products, processes, or changes in the business environment.
  5. Incident Management: Lead incident response efforts, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in operational risk management within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
