Global Deputy Head of Compliance

Europe/U.A.E (flexible location) | €150,000 – €170,000 + Bonus

Barclay Simpson is partnering with an international multi-asset brokerage to appoint a Global Deputy Head of Compliance.

This organisation operates across numerous regulated jurisdictions and provides trading access to a broad range of asset classes for professional and institutional clients worldwide. The business is technology-driven, entrepreneurial and experiencing continued global expansion.

Compliance sits at the centre of the organisation’s decision-making and works closely with senior leadership to support sustainable growth.

This appointment has been created to strengthen the senior leadership structure of the global compliance function.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Group Head of Compliance, the Global Deputy will operate as a senior counterpart within the compliance leadership team.

The role combines strategic development with high-level issue management in a complex international regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as a senior escalation point for cross-border compliance and regulatory matters
• Advising founders and senior executives on regulatory risk and commercial decision-making
• Supporting regulatory engagement and supervisory interaction across multiple jurisdictions
• Reviewing and shaping regulator communications and responses
• Strengthening governance frameworks, regulatory reporting and operational controls
• Taking oversight of selected jurisdictions and partnering with local compliance teams
• Contributing to compliance transformation initiatives, including automation and technology-enabled oversight
• Supporting the continued development of a scalable global compliance infrastructure

This role offers significant visibility and influence within a fast-growing brokerage platform.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a senior compliance professional with strong international regulatory experience and the confidence to operate in a commercially driven environment.

Key requirements include:

• 12+ years’ compliance experience within a brokerage, investment firm or fintech
• Multi-jurisdictional regulatory exposure
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting, governance and operational control frameworks
• Experience managing regulator engagement and complex escalations
• Ability to interpret regulation pragmatically and propose commercially viable solutions
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience in high-growth or founder-led organisations is highly desirable.
