Senior Quant Engineer – Fully Remote

  • Remote
  • Salary negotiable ~£180k + bonus

One of the most exciting quant opportunities I’ve come across this year.

Fully Remote | Front Office Exposure | Greenfield Build | Equity Opportunity

What if you could build a front-office pricing stack from scratch instead of maintaining someone else’s?

We’re partnering with an ambitious, fast-growing quantitative technology business that is helping some of the world’s leading investment banks modernise their pricing and quant infrastructure.

This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional Quant Developer / Quant Engineer to join at an early stage and play a key role in building next-generation pricing libraries, quant frameworks and front-office tooling from the ground up.

Unlike traditional quant roles focused on maintaining legacy systems, this position offers the chance to shape architecture, influence technical direction and solve genuinely challenging computational finance problems from day one.

The Opportunity

You’ll work directly with senior quantitative leaders, desk quants and trading teams across major banking institutions, helping design and build scalable pricing infrastructure that can be deployed in real front-office environments.

This role combines the technical depth of a top-tier quant engineering position with the variety and influence of working across multiple client environments.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Build pricing libraries from scratch
• Develop front-office quant tooling used by traders and desk quants
• Solve complex numerical and computational finance challenges
• Design scalable quant infrastructure and frameworks
• Improve performance, deployment and usability of pricing systems
• Work closely with Heads of Quant and senior stakeholders at leading banks
• Influence product strategy, architecture and technical direction
• Join a business where your contribution will have visible impact

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in exceptional problem solvers who enjoy building.

You may come from a bank, hedge fund, prop trading firm, quant consultancy or technology business, but you’ll likely have:

• Strong mathematical and quantitative background
• Deep understanding of numerical methods and computational finance
• Experience building pricing libraries, quant frameworks or analytics platforms
• Excellent software engineering capability, ideally with strong C++ expertise
• Knowledge of derivatives pricing and capital markets products
• Experience developing production-grade quant systems
• A desire to create practical solutions that users actually want to use

Asset class expertise is welcome but not essential. We’re far more interested in intellectual horsepower, technical depth, curiosity and the ability to solve difficult problems.

The Environment

This is a highly entrepreneurial business with strong technical leadership and a genuine build mentality.

You’ll thrive if you enjoy:

• Greenfield development environments
• Taking ownership and making decisions
• Working directly with clients and end users
• Building rather than maintaining
• Having influence over technical outcomes
• Solving difficult problems with smart people

This is the type of opportunity that appeals to people who love building, solving difficult problems and seeing their work have a direct impact.

If you’ve ever felt constrained by bureaucracy, legacy systems or the inability to influence technical direction, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Build the platform. Shape the architecture. Work directly with the people using it.
