Senior Surveillance Officer

Fixed Income Trading Venue is seeking a Trade Surveillance Officer to lead the Trade, E-communications, and Voice communications surveillance for our firm. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales and trading Surveillance VP with fixed Income experience.

As the Trade Surveillance Officer, you will report directly to the head of compliance and have sole responsibility for the surveillance across the firm in London, Singapore, and Amsterdam. This role has been brought about by extra scrutiny from the FCA in this heavily technology-focused business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review daily alerts for market abuse and suspicious transactions
• Maintain policies and procedures to prevent market abuse
• Perform Market Abuse Risk Assessment (MARA)
• Ensure market abuse training across the business
• Escalate Suspicious Transactions (STOR) to the regulator
• Manage relationships with third party trade surveillance software vendors

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Surveillance Officer, Sales and Trading Surveillance VP or similar role
• Strong understanding of fixed income markets and products
• Experience with market abuse regulations and surveillance systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
