Senior Internal Auditor

The Company:

• Our client is an international European banking group with a significant presence across multiple EU jurisdictions. As part of their ongoing growth in Germany, they are seeking to hire experienced Senior Internal Auditors with a focus on their Retail and Private Banking businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Take a lead role in managing audits for the German entities of the group
• Plan and deliver risk-based and process-orientated audits with a focus on the Retail and Private Banking business
• Contribute to the country-wide annual audit plan
• Assist with the management, training and development of junior auditors in the team and actively manage small teams during audit missions
• Provide reports and recommendations based on audit findings and present to internal stakeholders and management
• This role will require up to 25% travel within Germany

Experience Required:

• Direct experience of working with the internal audit function of a German based financial institution
• Relevant Audit qualifications/certifications are highly desirable
• Knowledge of Retail and Private Banking products and processes is preferred
• Fluent German language skills are essential
